MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

  The ultimate long term aim of the society is to operate a passenger carrying Heritage railway between Kempton

and Hampton Riverside. As far as possible it is intended to preserve and use the original track bed though Thames

Water operational restraints may make this impossible. Representations made to the Second Inquiry Inspector and

 the Unitary Development Plan for Richmond has resulted in safeguards to the railway pathway through the waterworks

 in Hampton against development. Recently there have been encouraging signs made by Thames Water to the possibility

of issuing a lease to the track bed but it is too early to give more details. The Society can give no guarantee to the

final outcome.
