Confirmation was given that we will be building the extension from the Kempton end towards Hampton.
Drivers, firemen & guards will have to self certificate themselves once a year before they are allowed to perform their duties.
Contrary to information given in the last WebNews we will not be getting a defibrillator but volunteers will be offered training in resuscitation.
We would like all volunteers to tell us what their skills are so that they can possibly be put to good use on the railway.
It has been noticed that no volunteers have asked for safety goggles. We have them and they should be used when necessary. Volunteers can, of course, buy and keep their own. It should be remembered that safety helmets should also be worn near the digger or crane or anywhere someone is working above. Anyone working anywhere should also have safety boots and orange hi-vis.

There would be another plant stall at the next KGE steaming day so bring along what you can.

Gala
We had a good gala over the weekend of 22/3rd April, the Sunday being one of our busiest days ever.
From observations
We have started putting down the base for the track extension using rubble from the heap under the flyover.
Darent returned to service on April 9th as planned.

The station siding can now be regarded as finished and is in use
